Bang Chan at Milan Fashion Week: Fendi’s Masterclass in Treating an Ambassador Right

Bang Chan at Milan Fashion Week: Fendi’s Masterclass in Treating an Ambassador Right

September in Milan was already hot with Fashion Week, but Bang Chan walking into the Fendi show? That was the real showstopper. Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin. Every time I think he can’t surprise me anymore, he goes and does this. Please, allow me to swim in the waters of fangirlism just this time. I’ll be back to serious editorial writer for the Versace’s article on Saturday. I promise!

Our Leader taking the Spotlight

Bang Chan has always had this duality, humble and grounded as Stray Kids’ leader, but the moment he steps into a fashion space, he becomes this untouchable icon. Even when he refuses to acknowledge such power, Fendi knows exactly what they’re doing making him their ambassador and you can’t convince me otherwise.

What makes this even more perfect is the timing, Fendi is under new but very meaningful leadership. With Kim Jones having stepped down last year, Silvia Venturini Fendi has taken over full creative direction for both menswear and womenswear. Her recent collections are about the beauty of craftsmanship, the joy of colour, the contrast between simple gestures and complex work. She’s building a vision where heritage meets happiness, boldness meets elegance.

This is how Vision meets Muse. Chan explored the newly opened Palazzo Fendi Milano on Via Montenapoleone, and his joy was visible at every turn. Dressed in a bold coat layered over a lace shirt that could have been scandalous if it weren’t so effortlessly chic, he embodied the essence of Fendi’s duality: strength and delicacy, tradition and daring modernity, all perfectly tailored to him.

The Palazzo itself, a 1930s architectural gem by Emilio Lancia, has been reborn as Fendi’s flagship, blending its Rationalist roots with the house’s signature codes of marble, walnut, arches, and art installations. As Chris walked through its galleries and thresholds, he became part of the narrative and history of one of the oldest luxury brands in the world. His look mirrored the space around him: structured yet fluid, classic yet daring. It was a moment where architecture, fashion, and muse aligned in perfect harmony. And honestly? I bet he was loving every second of it.

The Look That Killed a Whole Fandom (not literally but almost)

Sheer lace shirt. Long black coat. Perfectly tailored trousers. And combat boots. Tell me, who else could make delicate lace look this powerful and masculine at the same time? Nobody. I dare you to fight me on this. The way the black coat draped over his frame gave that commanding presence, but then the lace underneath hinted at softness, at vulnerability: it’s literally Bang Chan in outfit form. Strong, yet gentle. Safe, yet sensual. I guess the teasing never ends with this man. Oh! Joy.

The silver jewelry was subtle but with just enough sparkle to be dazzling. And his hair? Don’t even get me started. Styled back, sharp and clean, letting us see his face fully. A perfect Prince Charming look that makes you want to pause time. Yes, I am biased. Now let’s move on.

Fendi 1.0: How to Treat Your Ambassador Right

One of the things that stood out the most wasn’t just the clothes, it was how Fendi treated Chris. The security around him, the way he was escorted, the respect he received at every turn; it was crystal clear: he wasn’t just another guest. He was the guest.

And honestly, the contrast was shocking. Just two days before, Seungmin was at London Fashion Week for Burberry. Don’t get me wrong, it was great to see him there, but the difference in treatment was… abysmal. Surrounded by A-listers, he was just “another guy in the room.” Meanwhile, Fendi gave Bang Chan the spotlight, the space, and the dignity of a true star. This is what we want to see when brands interact with our boys: genuine recognition of their worth, not just as idols, but as global icons.

What we don’t want? Snubbish press, ignoring your ambassador’s impact, or mishandling the attention they naturally bring. If you’re not sure how to navigate that kind of energy, maybe take a page from the brands who are doing it right: Fendi with Bang Chan, Louis Vuitton with Felix, Versace with Hyunjin, Bottega Veneta with I.N. They understand the balance. They understand the visibility, respect, and genuine care, and they make it look effortless.

Fendi, in particular, has been nailing it. From the tailored looks to the attention to every detail, from the moment Bang Chan steps into their spaces to how he’s treated throughout the events, they show exactly how an ambassador should be celebrated. It’s a masterclass in getting it right, something other brands could quietly learn from. Thanks to Fendi’s careful attention and respect for Chan, the stage was set perfectly for the moment that followed inside the venue.

A Piece of Bang Chan

The Fendi Spring/Summer 2026 show took place at the brand’s stunning showroom on Via Solari, Milan. A space transformed into a vibrant stage of color, light, and artful design. Guests gathered in anticipation for a presentation of both men’s and women’s collections, curated under the careful eye of Sylvia Venturini Fendi. With over 960 attendees, including journalists, fashion insiders, and fans, the atmosphere was electric.

Outside, STAY eagerly awaited the arrival of Bang Chan, and thanks to Fendi’s live coverage on YouTube and social media, we were able to witness it all in real time from everywhere all around the world. The moment he appeared, the crowd erupted; excitement, cheers, and flashes from cameras capturing every step. Chan greeted the fans with a warm smile, taking in the energy around him.

Once inside, he was guided backstage, where he shared a few words with Fendi’s team about his look, the collection, and the inspiration behind his outfit. A mix of playful daring and elegant sophistication. Every gesture, every glance, radiated his charm, humility, and the effortless magnetism that has made him a true ambassador for the brand. He even hinted a potential collaboration and we cannot wait to hear more about it.

Inside the venue, while he was standing, it felt like the entire room turned toward him. Every journalist, every photographer, every outlet (Glamour, Allure, Cosmo, you name it) they were all lined up, waiting to interview him. And the best part? You could see on his face that he couldn’t believe it. That little flash of surprise, like is this really for me? It was such a Bang Chan moment; with child-like wonder in his eyes, almost shy, yet owning the spotlight without even trying.

For us, Bang Chan at Milan Fashion Week was breathtaking to watch. We’ve always known the world would eventually see what we see in him: a talented, hardworking individual who carries himself with such grace, whose incredible influence he’s barely begun to wield intentionally. And finally, here it was, unfolding in real time in Milan.

Hyunjin once said that Bang Chan holds an incredible innocence within him. I believe it. But I’ve also seen the brilliant mind behind those shiny eyes, and it makes me wonder if he will ever truly use his influence over us for more than just a little bit of attention. It’s a little scary, because we trust him almost blindly, and there’s no way someone with that much training and commanding presence wouldn’t be tempted to test that power. Part of me wants a glimpse of him behind the scenes, pulling strings, a mischievous glint in his eyes. Not because I want it to happen (this is probably far from the truth) but because I’m endlessly curious about the man behind the idol, the mind behind the flawless image. Will we ever see that? Probably not. Fortunately, what he offers the ever-hungry audience is already precious and rare, and STAY wouldn’t want it any other way.
